Penang Botanic Gardens, usually just called the Penang Botanic Gardens by the island. Also known as the Waterfall Gardens, gardens, located in a valley in Jalan Kebun Bunga. It is a well-park contains a variety of native and exotic plant species.
Established by the British in 1884 by Charles Curtis of Gardens & Forest Department of the Straits Settlements, it used to be an old quarry and is divided into 12 sections: Formal Garden, Lily Pond, Premier Plant House, Tropical Rainforest Jungle Track, House Fern , rock Fern, aroids walkover, Cactus House, Orchidarium, Horticultural Center, Nursery and Quarry Recreation Park.
